The report indicates that various vegetables are cultivated for sale in villages of Kyaukse Township, Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region, particularly those near rivers, creeks, and easily accessible water sources.
Among these villages, farmers from Pintale Village reported cultivating cauliflowers, which fetch K350 per cauliflower. Daw Thein Mya, a cauliflower grower, said that the Hmyar brand cauliflower is predominantly grown in Kyaukse Township. Since cauliflowers are easy to cultivate and transport, farmers typically sow five packs of seeds per acre.
The major costs associated with cauliflower cultivation include land preparation, weed and grass clearance, fertilization, application of plant vitamins, pesticide spraying, irrigation, and other miscellaneous expenses totalling around K700,000 to K800,000.
When selling the cauliflowers, brokers visit the plantation and typically purchase them for K350 each.
